The newest organization to join the ranks of the air cargo industry believes it recognizes the formula for success in a very competitive business; a genuine integration of high levels of personal service combined with advanced technology.

Dependable AirCargo Express, Inc., doing business as DAX, has been established to meet the increasingly stringent demands of both domestic and international shippers for accurate, dependable, on time and safe delivery of their cargo.

With a network of company owned and operated offices within the US and overseas, DAX is offering shippers of every size and description a complete menu of logistics services for both exports and imports. These supply chain services include time definite delivery of their cargo to any domestic or global destination, inventory control, customs brokerage, warehousing and quality inspections.

DAX is the newest entry into a family of successful cargo operations. DHX-Dependable Hawaiian Express, recently completing its 25th year in business, has become the dominant freight organization serving the Hawaiian and Guamanian markets. A sister company, Dependable Global Express, doing business as DGX which began in 1999, is a growing factor in international trade. DAX is the combination of the air freight operations of these companies.

At the helm of DAX is Gloria Whittington, Managing Director, a twenty-year veteran in freight operations with both airline and freight forwarding experience. She is assisted by a carefully trained team of experienced staff members both at the company's Rancho Dominguez global headquarters and at its worldwide facilities.

Ms. Whittington commented on the formation of DAX, "Our sister companies always moved shipments by air, but service was primarily on an ad hoc basis to complement our surface and ocean capabilities. Demand by our customers for air service, however, has grown at such a rapid pace, that we have created a separate, stand alone organization to satisfy theirs and future customers' needs. DAX has its own staff, an international network of full service facilities and equally important, information technology (IT) capabilities that is one of the most advanced in the industry."

Ms. Whittington noted that DAX's relationship with airlines, particularly those serving the important Asian and South Pacific markets, "is excellent. We enjoy a close working relationship with both all-cargo carriers to handle the larger, heavy weight and oversized 'main deck' cargo, and passenger airlines that have 'lower deck' cargo capabilities. DAX can offer our customers a greater number of routing options by using both freighters and passenger carriers," she stated.

Although DAX will have the capabilities to handle all weight breaks, its primary shipments are in the "heavyweight" category of more than 50 lbs. "We find that shipments of heavyweight cargo are not getting the care and attention they deserve," stated the DAX Managing Director.

"With DAX now operating as a completely independent, full service domestic and international cargo organization, we can offer US commerce and industry access to domestic and worldwide markets," Ms. Whittington concluded.
