Etihad Crystal Cargo has appointed ATC Aviation Services, Ltd. as its General Sales and Services Agent (GSSA) for Germany.

The contract with ATC, which replaces Etihad's previous GSSA contract with Aircargonet International GmbH, will be effective from May 2, 2007.

Mr. Des Vertannes, executive vice president cargo, Etihad Airways, said: 'Germany continues to be one of the most important markets for Etihad. In addition to daily passenger services to both Frankfurt and Munich, Crystal Cargo deploys its freighters four times a week to Germany, helping to serve the EU's largest air cargo supply chain.'

Founded in 1971, ATC Aviation Services offers a comprehensive management package to cover all aspects of sales and services for Etihad Crystal Cargo.

Mr. Ingo Zimmer, chief operating officer, ATC Group, added: 'This appointment enables us to combine our local expertise and resource with Crystal Cargo's tools and network, providing the German air cargo market with a premium service.'

'Plans are in place to ensure a smooth transition period for our customers in Germany' added Vertannes.
