“We are pleased to see continued progress on this important initiative, which will offer new opportunities for shippers. FECR and PortMiami have made infrastructure improvements and are well positioned to serve customers once the expansion is complete,” said Mr. Hertwig. “Our goal is to facilitate the process of cargo shipments for fast and efficient delivery to our customers,” said Juan M. Kuryla, PortMiami Director and CEO. “Through our partnership with FECR, we are expanding access for shipments coming into and out of the port to reach their final destinations seamlessly and with greater reliability.” PortMiami has resumed on-dock rail service, added super post Panamax cranes and expects to complete its -50/52 foot dredge in 2015. The on- dock capabilities at PortMiami help facilitate the seamless and efficient transfer of cargo from ship to rail.
