A strong supporter of transportation infrastructure, Governor-elect Holcomb played an important role during Governor Mitch Daniels' administration in securing passage of the Major Moves initiative, an aggressive 10-year transportation plan to significantly improve and expand Indiana's highway infrastructure. During the recent campaign, he spoke often about his desire to complete I-69 and his support for developing a fourth port in southeast Indiana.    The Summit, now in its 14th year, will include an "Election Aftermath" keynote luncheon address by political analyst and humorist Stuart Rothenberg. In addition, discussions about global issues affecting U.S. markets, the future of transportation, workforce challenges, business opportunities and cost-saving measures will be presented by more than 20 executives from the U.S. Department of Commerce, U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Aviation Administration, Norfolk Southern, Celadon Group, Genesee & Wyoming Railroad, Indiana Department of Transportation, Indiana University Health and more.  A special evening reception celebrating Indiana's logistics and economic ties to countries around the world will take place at 5 p.m. on Nov. 16. This "Global Connections Reception" will feature distinguished guests including Victor Smith, Indiana Secretary of Commerce, Douglas George, Consul General of Canada, consulates from Mexico, Germany and Portugal, as well as refreshments and entertainment. This reception is included in the conference registration fee, but tickets may also be purchased separately.  To register for the 2016 Indiana Logistics Summit, visit www.indianalogistics.com.
