Hapag-Lloyd West Africa Service Network – Service Enhancement

Hapag-Lloyd announced their latest service enhancement in the Hapag-Lloyd West Africa Service Network.
Effective end of August 2017, we will add a fourth vessel to the WAF and thereby improving to a weekly sailing frequency.
At the same time, Hapag-Lloyd will rename the service to MWX – Mediterranean West Africa Express.
First sailing under the new name will be:
Southbound
ETS Tangier, August 25, 2017
Northbound
ETS Cotonou, September 6, 2017
The rotation of the MWX - Mediterranean West Africa Express (formerly WAF) will remain as is and will cover following port calls:
Tangier - Algeciras - Cotonou - Apapa (Lagos) - Tincan (Lagos) - Tema - Tangier
With the relaunch of our weekly MWX - Mediterranean West Africa Express, we will terminate the WMX service. The last WMX sailing will be:

All existing connections to Hapag-Lloyd’s comprehensive service network will be maintained via our hub ports, Tangier and Algeciras, such as:
FE2 – from and to Far East and Oceania
IOS / IMX – from and to Middle East and India Subcontinent
MCA / MPS / IMX – to and from West Mediterranean Ports
MCA – from and to Canada as well as US Cross Border
MPS – from and to US West Coast as well as South America West Coast and Caribbean through Latin American Hub Ports
BPX – from South America East Coast
Our well established WAX Service will continue unchanged:
