LOWELL, Ark. - J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc. (NASDAQ: JBHT), one of the largest supply chain solutions providers in North America, had a strong finish at the Arkansas Trucking Championship in Rogers, with six drivers earning a top three spot in five categories. Two drivers – David Giacobbe and Samuel “Louie” Brooks - have also advanced to the American Trucking Associations’ National Truck Driving Championships after winning their respective categories: five axle and step van. 

“Our drivers are among the best and safest in the business, and we are proud of those who participated in this year’s event,” said Craig Harper, executive vice president and chief operations officer at J.B. Hunt. “Champions like David and Louie prove that day in and day out, and we wish them the best of luck at nationals.”

Giacobbe has been with J.B. Hunt for 18 years and currently drives for Dedicated Contract Services. Brooks, who began his career at J.B. Hunt in 2005, drives for Final Mile Services. Both have surpassed one million safe miles driven while at J.B. Hunt.

A total of 29 drivers from J.B. Hunt participated in the three-day event at the John Q. Hammons Center July 12-14. They competed in and outside the cab with written exams, driving skills contests, and pre-trip inspections. In addition to the individual achievements, J.B. Hunt took home top honors from the People’s Choice Awards for most team spirit and overall best in class. Truckload driver Roland Parent was also named 2018 Rookie of the Year.
