Little Rock Mayor Frank Scott, Jr. has reappointed Vice Chair Tamika Edwards and Treasurer Keith Harvey to the Little Rock Port Authority Board of Directors and appointed Chad Causey to the board.
Edwards and Harvey will each begin their second five-year term on the seven-member board, continuing as vice chair and treasurer, respectively. Causey succeeds Robert “Bobby” S. Brown, who concludes 10 years of service to the Little Rock Port Authority.
Causey is principal of Rose Group Advisors and a member of Rose Law Firm, where his work focuses on federal and state issues and their impact on businesses. He previously served as president of Causey Law Firm, PA.
Causey began his career in Washington, D.C., serving as chief of staff to a member of Congress and as a liaison to the U.S. House Appropriations Committee. His work has included policy issues involving appropriations, agriculture, health care, energy, taxes, and infrastructure funding. He also serves as executive director of the Arkansas Aerospace and Defense Alliance, a trade association representing Arkansas’ aerospace and defense industries.
“I am honored to have the opportunity to serve on the Little Rock Port Authority Board and contribute to an organization that plays such an important role in our city and state’s economy,” Causey said. “The Port’s combination of infrastructure, industry and economic development makes it an incredible asset for Little Rock, and I look forward to working with my fellow board members and the Port team to support its continued growth.”
Brown, a Little Rock native and president and CEO of Interstate SignWays, was first appointed to the Little Rock Port Authority Board of Directors in 2016. During his decade of service, he held several leadership positions on the board, including chair, vice chair, and treasurer.
Brown leads Interstate SignWays, which engineers and fabricates highway signage used nationwide. His career has also included leadership roles with AFCO Metals, Inland Steel Industries, Audio International, and Syair Designs. He has been active in numerous civic and community organizations, including Fifty for the Future and Little Rock Rotary Club 99.
The Little Rock Port Authority Board of Directors oversees the Port Authority’s work to increase economic development in Little Rock. Members serve five-year terms.
