Metro Ports, a holding of Nautilus International Holding Corp., recently announced the appointment of Jonathan Allyn to the position of director, business development, U.S. West Coast.

Allyn, who reports to Brian Johnson, Metro Ports V.P. of business development, will focus on existing and future business in the west and northwest. He joins Metro Ports as an executive in the ocean transportation industry with more than 33 years of experience, primarily on the commercial side of the business with a focus on bulk and breakbulk cargoes. For the past 18 years, Allyn has been actively involved in the trade between North America/Australia/New Zealand, working for Swire Shipping, Gearbulk Shipping, BHP-IMT Transportation and Nedlloyd Line.
