In view of the recent events in the Red Sea, MSC has taken the decision to divert its ships via the Cape of Good Hope to maintain the safety of the crew, cargo, and ship.

This diversion will mean increases in transit time depending on the destination and/or transshipment point involved, it will have a global impact of MSC fleet capacity and on equipment availability too.

Therefore, as from March 1st, 2024, until further notice, MSC will implement an Emergency Operational Surcharge (EOS) of USD 1’500 x CTR DRY & REEFER on all shipments from Türkiye to USA trade.
