Whenever the ocean carrier supplies a chassis for the movement of the container - whether under carrier or merchant arranged haulage by road or rail - a chassis usage charge shall apply to all shipments that are destined to, or passing through the United States for which a Carrier provided standard chassis with no more than 2 axles.

A) Chassis Usage Charge (CUC) for the standard free time period use.

Whenever the ocean carrier supplies a chassis for the intermodal movement of the container - whether under carrier or merchant arranged haulage by road or rail - the following export chassis usage will apply, subject to the conditions mentioned below.

A) Export Chassis Usage Charge (ECU) for the standard free time period use.

After the expiration of the free time, the per diem charges for the use of the carrier’s container (full or empty) outside of the marine terminal, or rail road, or container yard facilities and until the container is returned to the carrier’s custody at the carrier’s designated place of return, will be calculated as set below.
