A new OPDR office in Milan dedicated to the Italian market
Reinforcement of the multimodal transport solutions connecting Italy to the rest of the world
Hamburg-based OPDR has set up a new regional office in Milan. The short sea shipping expert OPDR thereby reinforces its strong presence in the Mediterranean region and also enhances its multimodal supply chain. The new regional office allows OPDR to get an even better access to the Italian market than before. The superb location in the middle of northern Italy provides ideal conditions to build business relationships with regional customers in the sector of fast moving goods, such as producers and exporters of fresh fruits and vegetables, retailers or wine traders. Situated in the CMA CGM Italy offices in in the heart of Milan, the new office also brings OPDR into close working cooperation with the colleagues from CMA CGM creating valuable synergies.
Moreover, OPDR points out its multimodal transport solutions connecting Italy with the rest of the European mainland and the United Kingdom: Regular and fast train connections between Milan and Rotterdam round out OPDR’s Italy portfolio. From Rotterdam, customers can then revert to the established OPDR services such as the recently revised AGAX or CISS.
OPDR’s customer oriented approach is also reflected by the equipment: The deployed 45ft pallet wide high cube containers give customers the opportunity to ship more goods. As many as 33 euro pallets can be stowed inside one container.
The extra 30 cm in height also contribute considerably to an increased cargo intake.
