Packaging & Distribution Resources (PDR) announced that its Toronto fulfillment operation is now fully operational following the completion of systems integration and live testing, marking a major milestone in the company’s North American expansion.

The new 150,000-square-foot facility gives PDR the ability to provide Canadian retail distribution and direct-to-consumer fulfillment from within Canada, allowing customers to position inventory closer to consumers and retailers while simplifying cross-border supply chain operations.

This week, PDR completed systems testing between its Toronto and Edison operations, successfully demonstrating the ability to process orders through the same systems and workflows that support PDR’s U.S. fulfillment network, which includes PDR facilities in Texas and California.

The timing of the expansion is particularly important as companies continue to navigate tariffs, changing trade policies, and uncertainty surrounding the movement of goods between the U.S. and Canada. By establishing a Canadian fulfillment presence, PDR can provide customers with additional options for how and where they position inventory and fulfill orders, as the company’s customers are dealing with a supply-chain environment that can change very quickly. Having a sizeable operation in Canada gives the company more flexibility and another tool to help customers respond to tariffs, transportation costs, changing regulations, and future uncertainties.

The Toronto operation was built with the same flexibility as PDR’s U.S. facilities, allowing the company to quickly adapt workflows, kitting and assembly programs, and fulfillment processes around individual customer requirements. From the new facility, PDR can support Canadian retail distribution, direct-to-consumer and e-commerce fulfillment, case and pallet shipments, inventory storage and management, cross-border logistics, and customized fulfillment programs. PDR is also working with a freight-forwarding partner to establish a bonded component within its Canadian operations. Once it’s in place, this will provide customers with additional flexibility for managing goods moving through Canada and further expanding the range of cross-border solutions available through PDR.
