ProCourier, Inc. has acquired Hartford Courier Services LLC. The transaction was finalized on Dec. 1. Hartford Courier President Sean Murphy will stay on during the transition.

“Hartford Courier’s strong downtown base of customers meshes perfectly with ProCourier’s capabilities,” said Michael Gualtieri, ProCourier’s founder and president. “Our strength is in providing same-day courier services, next flight out services, and expedited trucking service throughout the Northeast. ProCourier has doubled sales volume since 2019. Adding a company with a concentrated focus on Hartford strengthens our local delivery capabilities and provides current Hartford Courier customers with expanded, customized services.”

Hartford Courier Services, LLC provides document and package pick up and express delivery services to companies in the downtown area, offering deliveries locally, throughout New England, New York and New Jersey. The company was founded in 1995. Its current owner and president, Sean Murphy, took over the company from its founder with a partner in 2012 when he was only 28 years old. He started at the company as a messenger.

“We have close relationships with all of our customers, most of whom are law firms and title companies,” says Murphy. “We see this as a win-win for them because it gives them access to expanded services as a ProCourier company.”
