RoadOne IntermodaLogistics announces the acquisition of Higgins Transport Service LLC, a Charleston, South Carolina-based agent of Wall Street Intermodal that provides port drayage and intermodal freight transportation services.

The acquisition expands RoadOne’s drayage and intermodal capacity in the Charleston market, further strengthening the company’s ability to serve importers, exporters, retailers and manufacturers moving freight through one of the Southeast’s most important global trade gateways. In addition to bringing experienced leadership to the market, RoadOne will add 15 drivers to its Charleston operations, strengthening local transportation capacity and complementing the company’s growing warehousing and distribution capabilities across the region.

RoadOne has demonstrated a strong commitment to the Charleston market over the last several years and sees significant long-term growth potential in the region, driven by its deep-water port and fast-growing population. RoadOne has recently opened a 384,000-square-foot facility in Summerville, South Carolina, strategically located near the Port of Charleston to support the movement, storage and distribution of goods throughout the Southeast. Beginning in 2027, RoadOne plans to develop a second 279,700-square-foot warehouse on the property, further expanding its capacity and logistics capabilities in the region.
