Southeastern Freight Lines, a leading provider of regional less-than-truckload (LTL) transportation services has been recognized as a 2026 “Top Company for Women to Work in Trucking” by Redefining the Road, the official magazine of Women In Trucking (WIT).

“This award is a tremendous honor and a reflection of the culture we’re proud to foster at Southeastern,” said Melissa Atkins, vice president of linehaul transportation at Southeastern. “We believe in investing in our associates and giving them the tools, support and opportunities they need to build their careers and succeed. When our people have the opportunity to grow and thrive, our entire organization is stronger. We’re proud to be recognized for the workplace we’ve built and remain committed to creating an environment where every associate can build a rewarding career."

WIT is a non-profit organization with a mission to champion the employment and advancement of women in trucking, foster connections and recognize achievements. Its annual Top Company for Women to Work in Transportation award highlights companies that excel at creating a culture supportive of gender inclusion, flexible hours and work requirements that accommodate family and life balance, competitive compensation and benefits, training and continued professional development and career advancement opportunities.

“This recognition program highlights the trucking industry leaders that are making meaningful investments in building more inclusive and supportive workplaces,” said Brian Everett, group publisher and editorial director of Redefining the Road magazine. “Companies that prioritize including qualified, talented women across their organizations are often better positioned to innovate, lead and grow. Recognizing these companies celebrates the progress they’ve made and the positive example they continue to set for the industry.”
