LEXINGTON, S.C. – Southeastern Freight Lines, the leading provider of regional less-than-truckload (LTL) transportation services, today announced the opening of a new service center in Lexington, Kentucky. The new facility, located at 2470 Remington Way in Lexington, features 61 dock doors and places Southeastern close to the interstate, allowing for earlier deliveries, pick-ups and overall improved service. To oversee daily operations of the new service center, Southeastern has promoted Marty Cox to service center manager in Lexington. Cox has 14 years of experience in quality assurance and transportation, most recently serving as assistant service center manager in Southeastern’s facility in Knoxville, Tennessee. “By expanding our presence with this new service center in Lexington, we will have capacity to process freight and better serve our valued customers,” said Cox. The new facility will employ 15 associates, from service center managers to pick-up and delivery drivers. “We are excited to officially begin operations in the new Lexington service center and look forward to the increased square-footage, giving our drivers more space to operate,” said Rob Smith, regional vice president of operations, Southeastern Freight Lines.
