UASC combines temporarily its AEC1 and AEC2 Services into one service; the AEC1.

The former AEC1 service covered Asia ' Arabian Gulf - Indian Sub Continent ' North Europe ' Red Sea ' Asia deploying 10 x 4,000 teu vessels.

AEC2 connected Asia ' North Europe ' Red Sea ' Arabian Gulf ' Asia deploying 9 x 6,900 Teu vessels.

The newly combined AEC1 Service connects Asia ' Arabian Gulf ' Red Sea ' Med Hub ' North Europe ' Red Sea ' Arabian Gulf ' Asia while deploying a total of 10 UASC vessels (9 x 6,900 Teu and 1 x 4,250 Teu).

It will also operate via own relay services amongst other connect cargo to and from the Indian Sub Continent.

This temporary combination into AEC1 will remain active until the 3rd quarter in 2009 following which UASC will re-launch both its former AEC1 & AEC2 services.

Port rotation on the AEC1 Service is as follows: Busan ' Kaohsiung ' Yantian ' Hong Kong ' Singapore ' Khor Fakhan ' Jebel Ali ' Jeddah ' Med Hub ' Rotterdam ' Thamesport ' Hamburg ' Antwerp ' Jeddah ' Jebel Ali ' Khor Fakhan ' Singapore ' Hong Kong ' Busan.
