Northern Spain's Vitoria International Airport strengthens its position within the network of DHL Aviation's main Sub-hubs, with a major increase in the number of operations. Starting this April, Valencia, Malaga and Seville will be new destinations, increasing the number of its weekly operations to a total of 125. This service enhancement underlines Vitoria International Airport as a strategic center for cargo operations in Spain, Portugal and southeastern France.

The five sub-hubs of Vitoria, East Midlands Airport (United Kingdom), Bergamo (Italy), Brussels (Belgium) and Copenhagen (Denmark), distribute all DHL's Europe-bound goods, with Leipzig/Halle being the main hub in Europe. This increase in the number of flights to and from Vitoria is in line with the DHL's long-term strategy to expand and improve its service and to achieve the best punctuality scores anywhere in Europe, the company's number one priority. DHL Aviation employs 180 professionals in Vitoria, enabling it to achieve an average of 26 air movements and 27 land movements per day.

DHL is the largest service provider in the Basque Country with facilities in Vitoria (air and land), Legutiano, Agurain, Ribabellosa, San Sebastion, Bergara, Amorebieta, Leioa, Loiu airport, Sondika and Basauri.
