Worldwide Flight Services (WFS), the world’s largest provider of cargo handling services, has appointed Richard Van Bruygom to head its Americas division as CEO. He assumed his position on November 1sts and also joins the Executive Management of the global leading ground handling group. He reports directly to the Chairman and CEO of WFS Global. Richard Van Bruygom, a 52 year old Canadian national, has successfully led several aviation entities and units for the last 25 years. During his impressive career he held executive positions for companies such as FedEx, Servisair and Swissport, with considerable management responsibilities as well as challenging reengineering and turnaround duties. In this newly created position, based in Dallas, Texas, Richard Van Bruygom will take overall responsibility for all operational, commercial and administrative aspects of the WFS Americas activities, as well as strategic development in North and South America. Priorities will be close customer contact and effective communication, smarter processes, greater efficiencies and financial sustainability.
