Young to head BDP’s Latin American operations

Ronald Young has joined BDP International, a leading global logistics and transportation services firm, as vice president of its Latin America region. Based in the company’s Miami office, he will be responsible for operations, strategic direction and business development in the region.

Young brings nearly 40 years of experience in international Transportation to BDP, the last 17 of which he served as vice president of the Latin America region for Menlo Worldwide. He joined Menlo, formerly Emery Worldwide, in 1982 as sales manager for Canada in the company’s Toronto office, and was subsequently appointed general manager for its Western region in Los Angeles.

Young started his career with Air Canada in Toronto, holding various management positions until he was promoted to agency and interline sales manager. He also served as vice president of sales for Chartermasters Inc., also in Toronto, and as director of cargo for Eastern Provincial Airways in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
