BeyondTrucks announced a technology partnership to help fleets integrate critical driver, equipment, and compliance information into the BeyondTrucks dispatch workflow, giving dispatchers better visibility into the state and safety of drivers and equipment. The announcement comes amid growing industry concern over a wave of court rulings that expose carriers, brokers, and shippers to nuclear verdicts for unsafe operating practices.

The integration is designed to give dispatchers timely visibility into whether a driver and vehicle meet a fleet's requirements before a load is assigned. By connecting operational decisions in BeyondTrucks with driver qualification information from DQM Connect and equipment compliance information from GW Connect, fleet teams reduce risk exposure by not only maintaining accurate records but also surfacing such information to dispatchers who are responsible for deciding whether a driver or piece of equipment is assigned to a load.

"The recent $604 million jury verdict against C.H. Robinson and a motor carrier, in a case in which driver data and the failure of the carrier and broker to act upon them were central issues, is a wake-up call for the industry," said Hans Galland, CEO of BeyondTrucks.   • Bring equipment registration, maintenance and compliance information from GW Connect into the dispatch assignment process
  • Reduce reliance on disconnected spreadsheets, email threads, manual status checks, and stand-alone safety platforms
  • Improve coordination among dispatch, safety, maintenance, and compliance teams
  • Maintain a more consistent record of compliance checks made before a driver and asset are assigned
