Capacity LLC, a fulfillment provider specializing in beauty, fragrance, wellness and other fast-growing consumer product companies, today announced it has acquired a majority stake in Core Fulfilment, a UK-based ecommerce fulfillment company with more than 15 years of experience serving consumer brands across personal care, household goods and other categories. The acquisition creates a single fulfillment partner operating in both the U.S. and UK.

The announcement comes as cross-border fulfillment has grown more operationally complex for consumer brands, with rising shipping costs and shrinking delivery windows making international growth harder to execute without the right infrastructure in place. For brands shipping orders to UK customers from the US, longer delivery times can be a disadvantage in a market where consumers expect things fast. By combining Capacity's beauty-industry expertise, management, technology and infrastructure with Core Fulfilment's UK operational knowledge, the acquisition gives Capacity's existing customers a faster, more cost-efficient way to reach consumers on both sides of the Atlantic. Brands no longer have to rebuild logistics infrastructure from scratch in a market where speed and cost have become increasingly difficult to manage.

"This is about building the unified fulfillment operation brands will need for the next phase of their growth," said Jeff Kaiden, CEO of Capacity. "As consumer brands expand across channels and borders, they need partners that can enable them to enter new markets without added complexity.”

What does this mean for customers? Capacity's U.S.-based brands expanding into the UK now gain immediate access to Core's established operation and existing carrier relationships. Core Fulfilment's customers, in turn, gain access to systems built to manage promotional spikes and seasonality, along with Capacity's engineering-led approach to continuous improvement, including throughput analysis and pick-route optimization. For UK beauty and fragrance brands looking to expand into the U.S., the combination also adds a capability few partners can offer: Capacity's DOT-SP 21015 hazmat permit, one of only 31 held by fulfillment providers in the U.S., which allows regulated products like fragrance and aerosols to move through the U.S. market as brands scale.

"Our customers have grown alongside us for years, and the question they always come back to is ‘what comes next,’" said Paul Burns, co-founder of Core Fulfilment. "Partnering with Capacity means we can answer that with technology, engineering resources and scale that would have taken us much longer to build on our own."

Moving Forward. This marks a strategic milestone for Capacity as it expands its footprint through an established UK operation and local leadership team. Core Fulfilment will continue to operate from its existing UK sites under its current leadership; there will be no immediate changes to customer accounts, service teams or day-to-day operations. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

"This acquisition is a first for Capacity, giving us immediate network expansion in the UK with an established operating team with deep local market knowledge," said Jocelyn Petersen, CFO of Capacity. "Bringing our technology and operations together is expected to strengthen fulfillment services and add value for customers in both the U.S. and UK markets."
