Metrans A.S. adds two more Kuenz intermodal cranes

In December 2019, Kuenz installed an intermodal crane for the Metrans Group in Prague. Another crane was delivered to Budapest shortly before. All in all, this is the 15th Kuenz crane for the long-standing customer Metrans so far. Metrans is one of the leading companies for intermodal transport and connects the seaports of Rotterdam, Hamburg and Bremerhaven with the hinterland (southern Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary and Austria). Since 2006 a total of 15 Kuenz Intermodal Cranes ensure safe and efficient handling in four of 15 Metrans terminals. At their largest terminal in Prague Kuenz installed six cranes. Each three cranes are situated in Česká Třebová and Budapest. All of them are designed as double-girder bridges with superstructure and cantilever on both sides.  The remaining three in Dunajska Streda, Slovakia are designed as conventional double-girder bridges. The two new cranes in Prague and Budapest are handling containers, swap bodies and trailers with a lifting capacity of 37 tons.
