The Solution Team of BNSF Logistics, member to the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC) for the USA, handled the transport of one transformer with a weight of 220,000 Lbs and dimensions of 24’10 x 9’8 x 13’9 from the Port of Long Beach to Mojave, CA overnight on a 8 line dual lane suspension trailer. The experts from BNSFL also managed the offloading and rough setting to the foundation of the unit.

Wangfoong Transportation Limited, member to the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC) for Hong Kong and specializing in project cargo, recently handled another successful project shipment of heavy transformers. To safely move three heavy transformers, each with dimensions of 6,8 x 4,5 x 5,1 meter and a single weight of 170 ton, and eight 20 ft container with transformer oil from an oceanvessel at anchorage in Hong Kong harbour area, Wangfoong provided their derrick barge to collect the cargo under hook alongside the vessel. They transported the shipment by barge to a safe delivery site, unloaded the transformers onto 8 axles bogie and trailers by assistance of a floating crane. From the Jetty the shipment travelled to the assigned jobsite with escort cars. Wangfoong provided experienced staff and a 500 ton mobile crane for cargo unloading and positioning of the transformers with a jacking system. Wangfoong have successfully completed, unload and positioning all of the components for this shipment within two operation days. The company is focused on OOG & Heavy Project, their client portfolj includes oil and gas, power, utilities companies, airport, public transportation and operates own depot, barges, tug boats and heavy lifting cranes.
