The Northwest Seaport Alliance was contacted Wednesday, March 25, after an employee of Wallenius Wilhelmsen Industrial Tacoma (WWIT) heavy-equipment processing center tested positive for COVID-19. The employee was last at work on March 20 and has since been in self-quarantine.

Normal Operations Continue Operating Status As of Friday, March 20, all North Carolina Ports terminals - the Ports of Wilmington and Morehead City and Charlotte Inland Port - continue to operate on a normal schedule and we do not anticipate any changes to operations at this time. We continue to work closely with local, state and federal agencies to ensure the safety and security of all employees and operations at NC Ports facilities. We are strictly following all guidelines set by the United States Coast Guard and Customs and Border Protection as vessels transit to and from our terminals. Additionally, we are taking all necessary precautions as outlined by the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, the Office of the Governor, and the CDC to protect the health of all employees and port users.
