Today, North America’s Building Trades Unions (NABTU) President Sean McGarvey issued the following statement:
“As our members prepare to spend Halloween with their children, the nightmare in Washington continues. Members of Congress return home, all tricks and no treat, having yet again delayed a vote on generational investments in roads, bridges, clean water, transit, broadband, and more. Legislation that passed with over two-thirds support of the U.S. Senate and has purported majority support in the House of Representatives.
“Deferring the need to address our nation’s infrastructure crisis must stop. Using this bill, and the millions of working families it impacts, as bargaining chips must stop. Congress must return to Washington and pass this bill without further delay.”
