When the Worldwide Project Consortium Ltd (WWPC) was registered as a company in March 2000 the world of project cargo movements was extremely different to what we see today. There was much more heavy and outsized cargo available to be moved to increasing numbers of industrial project sites.

The network itself grew at a constant rate and became administered in a professional way to reflect on the serious business ethics of the network members. Country and designated area exclusivity have been elected by the members to form the WWPC. The quality of the carefully selected member companies are the backbone of the success of the network. Even in times with limited access to project cargo volumes the experts of the membership manage to perform demanding transport operations.

Social consciousness and environmental awareness is manifested by the network company signing membership with the TRACE anti-corruption and anti-bribery organization and since 2019 with the World Ocean Council, which fights for cleaner oceans and environments.

The WWPC 20 years celebrations start in Bremen where members are invited to attend a Network dinner, organized by Quality Cargo Networks, the marketing partner of the WWPC.

In September the networking activities will continue with the 20th WWPC membership conference on Zanzibar, Tanzania, where new business opportunities will be discussed and a local charity in support of disadvantaged children will receive the gains of a WWPC beneficiary auction.

Wolfgang Karau, operational Director of the WWPC states: "From the start it was the aim to establish a valuable tool for the project cargo industry by creating the WWPC. After 20 years this is still relevant and we manifest our position as a leader in the project cargo networking community by embrazing and promoting social and environmental awareness."
