LEXINGTON, S.C. - Southeastern Freight Lines, the leading provider of regional less-than-truckload (LTL) transportation services, today announced that Richard Slater has been promoted to service center manager in Charlotte, North Carolina. Slater began his career with Southeastern in the company’s support center, working in various departments. He then transferred to the Charlotte facility where he held a variety of roles in both sales and operations, including account manager, management trainee, front line supervisor and operations manager. Most recently, Slater served as assistant service center manager. “Richard has done an excellent job leading service center operation, demonstrating a steadfast commitment to advancing the Southeastern culture by providing quality service and ensuring our company remains financially strong,” said Kim Shore, regional vice president, Southeastern Freight Lines. “We are excited to have Richard take on this new role as service center manager and are confident he will continue to lead operations at a high level.”
