Exporters are concerned that Thai shipments may contract 4.5-5.0 percent this year after falling for the seventh month in July, the Bangkok Post reported, citing Nopporn Thepsithar, chairman of the Thai National Shippers’ Council. The council last month cut its 2015 export forecast to a 4.2 percent decline and Nopporn said volatile foreign exchange and weak global prospects could aggravate the export downturn, the newspaper reported.
