Mammoet has reached a major safety milestone at a large liquefaction project in southwest Louisiana. The Gulf Coast project is comprised of three trains in total and will have an export capacity of 1.7 billion cubic feet per day upon completion. Mammoet has been providing heavy lift and transport services on site since 2015, with March 2018 marking three years of working safely without a Lost Time Incident (LTI) or recordable incident. At peak, the project operated with over 90 Mammoet professionals, 108 cranes and 78 axle lines of SPMT on site.

Mammoet’s Senior Project Manager, Randall Fox stated, “During this three year period our Mammoet project team safely and successfully executed over 450 engineered lifts, 64 barge roll offs and over 550 transports. All of these operations were conducted with a strong display of Mammoet SHEQ culture, expertise, professionalism and pride that is instilled throughout our workforce, which is why we stand out in the global heavy lift and transport industry.”

Over the course of the project, Mammoet has used its expertise as an industry leader to assist in constructing one of the largest LNG export terminals in the US. Mammoet has extensive experience in safely delivering major LNG projects not only in the USA, but also in Australia and the Middle East.
