Momentum Transportation USA Inc., an award-winning provider of transportation and logistics services through the premier Landstar global network, has announced that David Hoppens is joining the Momentum team as Vice President Sales and Marketing. Mr. Hoppens brings over 25 years of transportation and supply chain services experience to his new position, having served in sales, marketing, and business unit leadership roles with CSX Transportation, Pacer International and U.S. Xpress. While at Pacer, Mr. Hoppens served as Vice President of Marketing and Business Development, which included accountability for revitalizing and growing the company’s highway brokerage and supply chain services business.  Mr. Hoppens’ tenure at Pacer also included serving as Vice President of Marketing, Pricing and Customer Service.  While most recently serving as Senior Vice President, Intermodal Services at U.S. Xpress, Mr. Hoppens implemented initiatives that significantly grew their non-asset container services while streamlining integration with other modal offerings.  He holds an MBA and a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from the University of Florida, and is past President and current Chairman of the Transportation Marketing and Sales Association. “We believe that David’s experience and his track record of success are the right fit to take Momentum to the next level of growth and customer engagement,’’ said Brian Putzke, President and CEO of Momentum Transportation. “Over the past fourteen years, the Momentum team has built a very strong company focused on operational  excellence and providing unmatched customer satisfaction.
